We are a Birmingham, Alabama-based healthcare management company in search of a Healthcare Client Account Representative. The Client Account Representative duties may include one or more of the following: medical billing, claims processing, processing insurance payments, following up on denied claims, resolving credit balances, and customer service skills. THIS IS AN IN-OFFICE POSITION.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Processes the insurance component of a patient's obligation through claims processing and payment rules.
- Bills claims appropriately.
- Follows up on denied claims by performing appeals and denial recovery procedures.
- Works denied claim lines and no response claims to resolve outstanding accounts.
- Analyzes credit balances on patient accounts and resolves.
- Insurance verification.
- Experience using eClinicalWorks.
- Responds to refund request letters from insurance carriers.
- Notify supervisor of any problem accounts, CPT codes being denied by specific insurance companies, continued error in charges and any other hindrance to their productivity or collection of A/R.
- Compliance is a condition of employment and is considered an element of job performance.
- Maintain HIPAA confidentiality.

- Provide excellent customer service through phone calls and emails.
- High level of time management and organizational skills.
- End of the month report generation and list of all accounts not worked.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION:
- High school diploma or equivalent. (Required)
- Associate degree. (Preferred)
EXPERIENCE:
- At least five years experience preferred.
- Medical background or previous insurance billing desired.
- Five years experience using eClinicalWorks preferred.

Pay: $21.00 - $24.00 per hour
